I was fortunate enough to get a set of these little buggers for Christmas. For those of you that don’t know, I’m in a wheelchair, and I keep my CPU on a table beside my desk. So, when a cable drops to the floor, it can sometimes fall out of my reach, and that’s a little bit of a pain in the butt. These little bits of plastic are one of those things that makes you stop and say to yourself “Why the heck didn’t I think of that?” They’re just specially shaped hunks of plastic with some adhesive on the back, but let me tell you, they work like a charm.
Each clip can hold one or two cables in its little plastic grip, depending on cable thickness. I now have two stuck to my tower, and my wife (seeing how useful they are) even has one stuck to the side of her monitor! Speaker wires, usb cables, charger cords…all can now be kept track of nice and easily.
The only down side that I can find is the price. You can get a package of six for $11.99 (plus tax and shipping) at Thinkgeek.com. Worth the money, in my opinion, but if you spend too much time thinking about it, it does seem a little excessive for six hunks of plastic. If the price comes down, they’d easily rank a 4 cogs out of 5 or maybe even higher, but until then, I’m going to say 3.5 out of 5. Definitely worth having…but maybe have someone else buy them for you. :)
