Thought I’d share another excerpt from my sister’s updates when I was in the hospital.  This one is from May 5, 2008, and refers to the doctors talking about my case:

“It’s definitely been interesting (and a little scary) to hear the doctors talking about how Jeff is writing the book on this case. I sometimes wondered through all this why things would change so suddenly, or plans that seemed concrete would completely turn around in an instant; now, I understand. It’s because nothing like this has been done before. They are inventing it as they go along. One of Jeff’s doctors commented at one point, ‘People in situations like Jeff’s with a tumor like Jeff’s…they just don’t survive. Not only has Jeff survived, he has rebounded like no one, none of us, thought was possible.’ That certainly made me pause for thought.”
